Hi, my name is Sara. I have coached college tennis for over four seasons, most recently at SCAD in Savannah, GA. In my time with the Bees, I helped guide the women's team to three national tournament appearances. Furthermore, I have coached two NAIA National Champions, multiple ITA All-Americans, ITA Regional Champions, and numerous all-conference athletes.
In 2016, I helped guide the women's team to a record-breaking 18-2 record overall, including 6-0 in The Sun Conference and a back-to-back regular season and conference tournament championship. The Lady Bees also defeated GA Southern University for their first win over a D-I opponent in school history. At the NAIA National Tournament, the women entered the tournament ranked fourth and competed in the first ever semi-final match before losing to the eventual champion.
I earned both the NAIA/ ITA Women's Assistant Coach of the Year and the South Region Coach of the Year honor in 2015. I came to SCAD after serving as an assistant coach for Emory and Henry College.
Additionally, I have years of experience giving private tennis lessons in Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. At my Alma Mater, Milligan College, I was selected three times as an AAC All-Conference Player, and capped off my senior season by being awarded AAC Sportswoman of the Year. I graduated from Milligan College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a master’s degree in public health.
